I've been working with computers since the punch card era. That really sucked.

You will start getting the unable to connect for multiple reasons so it is impossible to cover them all in today's no beta testing model.

If it happens after any updates you may have to reset a stray app.

VPNs cause a lot of issues no matter what the vpn company says. So RTFM or FAQ for the app. That may mean finding the app's cache and deleting it. There are free tools for clearing your caches. That's how I fixed the problem.

If you have your router set up with multiple accounts just switch to the other account.

Always delete apps you don't use.

As for an example of a weird app problem is Amazon Prime TV. If you upgraded your TV it may stop working. Believe it or not it can often be fixed by unplugging the TV for a minute. HUH? Not the router but the TV first. I had to look that up on this thing called the internet.

Yep advice from the guy who doesn't do a photo search before posting. Old age sucks sometimes. Other times there is a pill to fix things temporarily.

I am also IT. NOT VPN or device specific. Tried troubleshooting during the down times we had, all the way around the board no matter what device or VPN I used would affect the outcome. Slowly but surely it came back up tells me it was software / hardware issues with the server this website is hosted off of. IT Guys were definitely scrambling to fix it I'm sure. And I'm pretty sure Admins / Mods probably were keyed in the backstory to all this.

Def not FBI or any Govt Agency shutting this down, otherwise like Backpage, they would have had it and done.

Definitely not device or VPN specific. Otherwise, mu Galaxy or iPhone would have acted differently on or off VPN. As my Laptop and Desktop gave same results.

All in all, back up thank the Lord!

I have noticed it slowing down. A few of the other mongers are hassling others if the try to help girls out. I don't want to mention any names. We have gotten down to very few others contributing. I and Ohers I talk to say they have just stopped.

Actually, real mongers continue to post reliable posts and not figments of their imagination. BS, "Asshole", posters haven't stopped but thank God they've slowed to a trickle.

Keeping my Fingers Crossed. All day today the site seems "Normal". Maybe what ever was going on has been fixed!

I had not been able to access the site for about a week. I kept getting the maintenance message. Is there a top level thread on the site where outages and connectivity are discussed?

I don't think there's been anything different with the site lately. I believe weekly they do a server maintenance so during that period accessing the site will be hit / miss.

VPN does have an affect on download speed and latency. Depending on how you have it set up will greatly affect it. And then also however you have your router setup.

TLDR: In other words it's something from your end.

You hit the nail on the head. I tweaked some settings and tuned my VPN and have fully performant response times, with very little latency now. It was, indeed, on my end!

I suppose it could be my VPN affecting response times, but I'm also wondering if there's ongoing server maintenance or even a surge in traffic overwhelming the system. Another possibility is a recent server software update causing performance issues.

Whatever the cause, the lag is becoming a real issue. Has anyone else experienced this, or heard if there are known problems like database slowdowns, CDN issues, or even security-related slowdowns?

I don't know, but I think it has something to do with internet porn, so my guess is Virtual Pussy Nexus. I've been happy with ZZZTub. It works faster than PHub and YouP and has some Euro talent I hadn't seen.
