Took a visit to Vivian Spa in Medford the other day. There was plenty of parking at night and I went about 90 minutes before closing. After many visits since they opened, it is apparent YMMV depending on the MT working at the time. No problem with a HJ, but beyond that, is MT dependent. She explained (and there's actually notices in the room) that the rent and other costs went up. Man, I hope that most places don't follow suit. It wasn't that long ago that we went from $60 to $70!

Reached out to Art Spa in Newton yesterday. Went once before and got bait and switched then, but was assured the person I wanted to see (Cici) was available. After being left waiting at the door for a while Emily, who I got last time this happened, answered. I said I had an appt with Cici. She said Cici was gone and that she would take care of me. 80 HF used to be the going rate for Thai spas and it's why I actively avoided them. What can you do though? The masseuse isn't getting any of that it's all going to the proprietor. At least in my experience.

If everywhere jacks up their house fees it would be awful. I remember thinking 70 for an hour was not cool.

In terms of the tip I don't mind tipping generously since I know some or all of it goes to the girl. Have heard at some FS spas the girl only gets half. Which is shitty.

Thank you for reporting the increase though! I would occasionally stop at this place. Now I think I will only go if there is a verified hottie there. Seen too many fatties and it's not worth the 80 in my opinion.

No JP, you are spot on for that service, 70 plus 70 unless they are getting fully naked and allow roaming, in my opinion.

Lived in Waltham 20+ years.

OK:

1. Moody is typically great, YMMV on occasion but well run and good service, clean. A couple of super hotties there, but limited extras, maybe UTC top or OTC bottom. But, YMMV.

2. Prospect has 2 locations, 141 and Eastern (number 60?) Both can be good. 141 used to have limited talent, but sounds like that may have changed. Eastern is known for excellent talent, but higher cost comes with that and the mood / attitude on that day can be a minus, depending on the provider. Haven't been to either in many years, largely because of the attitudes I experienced at Eastern.

3. Parking, very safe city, no problems expected. Parking will typically be on the street, meter, but side streets sometimes have open spots. Not a prohibitive issue.

50 hh, 70 hr; tips are negotiable.

I had a bad money exchange at Eastern and would never go back. You are right about the high cost at eastern.
