The rates are jacked up because of the multiple booker system and how bookers are actually the owners. The bookers in LA are said to earn 3-4 times more then bookers in NorCal. NorCal bookers are exclusive and loyal to their agency. There are 1-2 agencies where the booker is also their boss but most seems to work with a booker-boss relationship, similar to what you saw in the Boston case.

This system seems to work because the agencies have control over their rates and they all seems to work together on pricing. From what I remember, and this was some years ago when I used to be friendly with the long time OG booker Joanne, is that they make a pretty low rate so the overall fees in NorCal are also less. Everyone knows Joanne and her honestly. The NorCal bosses also seems to have full control. LSC bosses is a former service queen who I had the pleasure of taking for a spin, she is known to blow up a mongers phone if you overstay. Since she knows some of us mongers personally from banging us in the past, she isn't afraid to call us out. You dont want to get banned from LSC, because its likely forever unless you can get passed their vigorously screening where they legit check your real credentials. I think I slept with about 70% of NorCal owners. Viola, Caras, BGC, LSC, LKS, and SA are run by the most notable former kgirls. All of this is pretty known in NorCal IYKYK.

If you want to drop the upcharge, just stop supporting it. Trust me they will lower their rates and still make bread. For instance, LSC Aelia. There are rumors she is a some drama so might not be around long but if you dont support her new rates as Honey, shell soon drop in the no upcharge category. The increase in prices and upcharging for services are the result of the greedy hoe syndrome of the girls. The bookers do not set prices or test market conditions of prices. For some goddamn reason the owners of the operations is allowing the girls to set the price. As we are well aware of some of these girls are just insane demanding the rate they set or setting up no msog conditions. If people are serious about how pissed they are about the prices stop visiting those girls and cripple them financially so they starve and come down their high slot.

While it just sucks that Honey / Aelin didn't come in at an all in price given her rates in the BA, she and whoever she talked with about pricing structure was level headed enough to go with the "normal" LA rates, even if it is on the high end. We'll just have to see how that strategy works out for her. From what I've heard she plans to stay here a good while so there may be a chance she'll reduce her rate at some point in time in the future. It's happened before to others.

If you want to point fingers for the price increases, at least point it in the right direction. This trend can easily be laid at the foot of SBC and their girls. They started it and the ripple effect is beginning to manifest into a large wave from what I'm seeing. Before, it use to be that HYA and stellar service providers were rewarded with a stream of constant business at the cost of staying in line with the prevailing donation rates. Now it's more about how much to squeeze money out of mongers in the shortest amount time and working the least amount before bailing. As long as people are willing to see these types of girls, the trend will continue.
