I don't know how much of Japan you've gotten a chance to see, but some of the ryokans are over the top good for what you pay. And there is no need to overpay for them, I was surprised how cheap it was. You can also get fantastic sushi means for $50 and $100. It's not like you get better sushi paying more, actually you get theatrics beyond that. Me and my friends have tried them and you pretty much cap out at $50 to $100 for the sushi itself. The $25 sushi there is better than the $100 sushi here, it's quite the gap. Hope that makes sense what I'm conveying here. I only go for the sushi, I'm not going to pay more and get nothing of importance to me.

Someone asked about ryokans, I always got recs from friends in Japan. Sometimes they joined in especially if our mutual friend was getting married. Japanese love any excuse to tell their boss "they have no choice but to take a day off" because they almost never do!

In the Tokyo area I went to Maholova Minds which is just south of Yokosuka in Miura. You can reserve themed rooms, there is a great 'obstacle course' pool, a lot more I won't list it. Near the famous beach, but of course my friend said no, let's have an adventure and we went to a hiking trail all the way down to the coast. Amazing walk, untouched nature. Reminds me of hiking down Grand Canyon with the constant winding descent, but full lush vegetation and the trail is well-maintained with wooden stairs for some important sections. You could walk it in normal shoes due to the conditions. One of the best hiking trails I've seen and a hidden gem because I can't find it on a single English tourist site. It was an hour hike and we toured the beach for an hour - it was low season so I was the only tourist I ever saw.

I will also attach a link for Hoshino resorts which is higher end. Some of their locations periodically make top 50 in the world. I've been to several and they are amazing. You can compare them to a high end Hawaiian resort like King's Land but more way better and cheaper. King's Land is legit good too btw. You can pick any Hoshino resort at random, it passes the Furiosa test. There are different brands, each one is a different style of resort. It costs a fraction of Western high end resorts and for my tastes is better. You can tell how well a billionaire likes Japan by whether they choose to stay at a ryokan / resort like Hoshino over a traditional hotel that actually costs more. People with unlimited money stay at Japanese Ryokans when they want the best time in peace and quiet. Same way people with unlimited money know to use korgs. Every time I go and stay at a resort with friends, I realize how much vacationing sucks back home. It's like when I describe HYA to someone who has never tried korgs, they just have no idea it's for real. They want to go to TJ or worse.

Photos attached. First two are two themed rooms. If you are going with a group of friends, you can get a room four times as big as the pink one. This is a countryside resort, so it is dirt cheap and luxurious. Most ryokan are dirt cheap and luxurious. I can't upload enough photos this is just an idea, no point in me writing a resort guide because you don't need USAG for that. Food is buffet style, depending on reservation it's included (resorts are priced per person). At some Kyoto and Osaka ryokan the food would cost more than the room if it were the US. They clear your room and serve you in your room. 20 dishes is common, each one fantastic. But Maholova is more typical higher-end Vegas buffet style. Certain things like sushi and steak are top end, in Japan if they have a photo of a chef cooking steak for you that's because you will get that. You walk up and he is cooking his steak and the moment it's ready he slices it up and puts it on plates next to him for you to take. Top end steak, they don't do that thing where all you can eat is cheap stuff just to get you to stop. Probably because any Japanese person would only take what they really want and not waste. You can take seconds of course. When I went back for thirds, I avoided eye contact but it's all good. Japanese resorts and ryokans focus on customer satisfaction. The pools they have are kind of fun I'll let the photos speak for themselves but one has a current. The last two photos are Hoshino resort if it looks over the top well it is. The two pictured are high S-Tier.

If King's Land Hawaii is mid S-tier, then Maholova is A-Tier and Hoshino ranges from low S-tier to high S-tier. I have been to only a few Hoshino resorts so far and thanks to friend recs they were each the high S-tier ones. Yes you can stay in a countryside cottage in the forest. Most of them are quite spectacular and remote. As unforgettable as other high S-Tier things.

I wasn't asking for help, or trying to make a contest out of it, I was asking for clarification. I was just wondering how you can spend that little on a ten day trip to Japan when factoring in transportation, hotel stays, food, and running around having fun with Japanese girls. Congratulations on your thriftiness. There's no need to get upset because I don't like to fly coach.

When I first went to Japan, I didn't have money like now. When you grow up with less money, you keep those habits even later in life. I wasn't upset you don't fly coach, you were strangely worried about me flying coach and sitting near the bathroom. I don't want people to think they can't pick their seat, that's actually an important protip. The bathroom is not the real issue, it's the babies.

The budget I have is quite normal, it's not even thrifty. People budget 1/2 and 1/4 what I quoted all the time, including oppai pubs which are dirt cheap. I choose breakfast regardless of the price and it ranges from $3 for a light meal with coffee that beats a $12 meal in the US to $30 for a buffet that rivals Vegas. Soapland starts at 200. Obviously some people want to bang once or twice, some guys want to bang a dozen times. That's why I left that out and gave typical examples. I am mindful that normal people need a more grounded approach. I have helped a lot of people get laid in Japan and cost is always a critical consideration.

Sometimes when I tell people about a place in Yokohama, they think it's far from Tokyo when it's actually faster to reach than the other end of Tokyo due to rapid lines. It costs $1.50 to go from Shibuya to Yokohama btw. It costs $40 to take a luxury airport bus direct to your hotel in Tokyo or Yokohama, with wifi AC and excellent service. If you see the getting laid on a layover guide, I warn people that if their aiport bus is scheduled to be 10:00am, it will be nowhere to be seen until 9:58am. The staff load everything in a rush and you are on and off in 2 minutes. Transportation is not the issue in Japan, unless you are talking countryside. Then you're fucked, yes.
