The first few times I only brought my phone. It was great. Galaxy ultra. Then I got a little more into it. So I bought a mini tripod for my phone to put on the bedside table in landscape mode. Then I wanted both pov and a landscape shot. So I bought a dji pocket osmo 3 which comes with a small unobtrusive tripod. And fits in your pocket. That's what I do now. Set the dji with the mini tripod on the bed table and just let film. Maybe occasionally move it if the action moves. Then I use my phone and pause the video function when I'm tired or got enough and sometimes I use galaxy burst photo for a few stills. My last purchase was a cheap magnetic light for my dji when it's dark.

I preface this by saying I'm am extremely shy and nervous. It's hard for me to ask for video or what I want even with a provider. So I don't like to freak them out.
