I was burned once before and it was when I let my OpSec guard down. This is a great time to remind members (particularly newer ones):

* Don't ever use your real name.

* Don't ever use your real phone number. Use a burner number or phone, or better yet use a burner VOIP number attached to a burner phone.

* Don't use an email address that can be tracked to you (set up a burner email and if it asks for an emergency contact use your burner number and a separate burner email).

* Don't send real photos of yourself. Reverse image search works both ways.

* Don't use your real Facebook account to search for information about them. You'll show up in their "friends they may know" and they will have your real FB info.

* Don't leave your wallet with ID / cards hanging in your pocket while you are there, or in the shower (don't bring any ID. Lock your wallet in your car).

* Park away and walk around to make sure no one is checking out your car. If you have a car that can be opened by your phone or a code on the door leave your keys inside (so they can't get your fob and flash your lights / horn).

* Only bring the burner phone into the location with you. Turn yours off (you already have location services off, right?) and leave it hidden in your car. Oh the same goes for your smart watch. Oh yeah, and also if you have an AirTag on your keychain don't take that into the lady's location with you. They are trackable even if your phone / watch aren't nearby.

* Wear a cap and keep your head down for overhead video cameras, and wear a jacket you don't normally wear and change before / after. Also, if they have a Ring doorbell or similar don't look up and into it directly. Stand to the side with your head down.

Some of these may sound ridiculous, but they will just make it harder for any potential scammer to get your RL info. It only takes one time with someone contacting your friends / family and / or trying to blackmail you to think it's worth it.

Run! Taylor isn't your normal scammer. I had normal communication at first and had set up a day with her. A few days before I started receiving threatening texts and calls. Then they were some how able to find out my name and was contacting family. Absolutely do not use your personal number if you contact them. I was never able to meet up so I'm pretty sure this is one of those threaten your life to get money out of you type of situations.
