Agreed. To anyone who has anything at all to lose from exposure (essentially anyone who is not a confirmed bachelor and independently wealthy so does not have to work), op sec is crucial for any of these websites. That means paying w / prepaid debit cards and having a complete alter ego identity you use w / such sites, including burner phone and email, VPN, etc. IK so much more about this now than back then. Northern Virginia has a thread devoted to OpSec.

I do think these days Ashley is a lot of fake profiles, though these are on all the sites. You need to develop good bullshit detectors.
