Ha. I've experienced the same when writing three $$ 0 dollar signs. It always comes out as two $$.0 dollar signs. What's the reason for the shorthand? It feels like an outdated practice and anyone can figure it out in 5 minutes. I can guess that years ago it seemed like a way to confuse LEO or maybe it's a way to avoid incrimination if LEO can link your forum posts to a phone number. I'm game to just write it as is. Or do the ole 300 roses.
