Here's a couple of low educated guesses as potential to your questions:
1. The holidays are approaching and providers, UTRs and wannabes want / need money. So, 'tis the season for many of the non-pros to "get a little strange to make a little holiday change" There may be some good and not so good possibilities popping up on the various posting sites at both ends of the pricing range. And with so many unknowns and scammers popping with donation requests all over the place, it's usually a more difficult (often more risky) time of the year for gents to sort through the ads to find a few of the hidden gems.
2. As for a provider's mind set on pricing, I knew a couple of xXx ladies and very well regarded providers from back during the hobby glory days who shared with me their approach to pricing (local and touring). And I was kind of impressed (LOL) that they put the same thought into escort pricing that retail stores do with their philosophy of $x. 95, $x. 98 and $x. 99 pricing of store items. In a nutshell, these ladies noted that a $5 multiple would more than likely get them an actually envelope with the donation upped to the next $10 or $20 multiple. This was mainly for the very reason that JunkSecond mentioned. Most ATMs dispense multiples of $10 and $20. So, if they requested a donation ending in 5, chances are the gentleman caller would more than likely fill the envelope a higher amount. Particularly from first timer gentleman visitor whom they've never met before.
Again, this was not my logic, but the logic shared with me by a few old mainstream provider friends from back in the day. It's anybody's guess regarding the pricing model providers use today. I have a theory, but I'll just keep that one to myself. Just my 0.01.

Coms started fine good time between texts but then things went down from there. Ended up sitting in the parking waiting on an okay and then when I got to the room she had an unflushed toilet with cigarettes in it and cloths in the shower. Then she lights up a cigarette and says she can't take cashapp and her ad is wrong but that the gas station has an ATM. This whole time she's moving slow and drawing out her words and I should have left right there but the little guy was "we've already come this far".
Once I come back and we get a few minutes in and I notice a bowl of half eaten food by the bed and I try ignore it, then she pulls up and away and let me tell you being bent like that is very uncomfortable. She says some slurred line about how she hurts and then is "you can finish up if you want" and "its better when you know a person". As if I would return after.

She seemed sort of out of it that day, and the provider I was seeing knows her and hinted she had demons. Seems like that's accurate.
