This may be outside the scope of the board's topic space. But inflation-adjusted personal consumption is at an all-time high and debt as a percentage of income (which is obviously normalized for inflation by its nature) hasn't been lower in recent memory. And, again, within the last five years the bottom quintile of income has improved more in these categories than upper quintiles, relatively.

It's simply an excellent time in America to be a low-income worker. Which doesn't mean there aren't other factors affecting the availability of and access to sugar babies. Strip clubs, for example, do not do better not when girls are desperate due to a poor economy. *They do better when the economy is booming and guys have money to spend on strippers. * When the strip clubs are full of guys throwing cash around, girls who are on the fence about stripping can't resist the lure of easy money and get onto the pole. There's certainly a similar dynamic in play in the SB space, but it's not clear to me exactly how it all fits together.

But we talk a lot hear about the "good old days" of Seeking when it was full of hot sorority girls who were inviting you into their dorm for $250. But this probably has something to do with the guys on there too. If every guy on seeking is a handsome orthodontist who lets you use his boat, why not bang him for a little extra cash? Once the goons who used to spend time on Backpage create profiles and inundate the site with "how much for CIP?" messages, it must keep some of those girls out of the bowl.

That's the big difference between being an escort and being a sugar baby. Escorts fuck whoever opens the door. Sugar babies get to decide who they see. It's similar to how you'll see some "regular" girls escorting in Vegas casinos from time to time. It's a lot more appealing of a way to make money if you have an good idea about who you're getting into bed with. And there's no doubt that as Seeking has increased its profile, there's an increase in low-quality men on the site too. And if girls need to wade through them and learn how to avoid them (and get turned off by them), it's going to keep them from making profiles or staying on the site. We regularly get guys on this board, for example, who brag about not paying girls who are too inexperienced or feel too awkward or dirty to ask for it. I *always* put money in their purse or pants pocket or something like that without asking because I know a 19 year old girl who's never fucked a guy her father's age in a hotel room before is going to feel like a hooker if she's forced to say "where's my money?

A lot of good points here. About the "good old days", this is probably true; back when I started Seeking around the mid-2010's, I had a full head of hair, and there was a different vibe to it. Craigslist was an awesome way of posting an ad looking for girls in need. I know some younger guys who are doing well on Seeking / SDM, but they're throwing around $4/500+ on some of the girls while I was doing half that when I was their age. From what I hear, they take care of themselves, but there are a lot of low-quality men on the site, too, which probably scares off a lot of less-jaded girls.

The money part doesn't change, though; I do the same, just put it in their jacket or somewhere they can tell it's there.

Funny thing is I was messaging her and I always make it clear upfront that this is how much they're getting when we are done and you're ready to leave. I have been on and off on SA, had some good experiences, some bad. But never really got scammed. This one was kinda first time for me. Contacted on SA, exchanged contact and deal was set for 400. Came to my hotel on time. We chatted over few drinks and when things were about to get interesting she made an excuse to go to bathroom and left. Unfortunately the money was exchanged already at this point. She was so desperate that she ran away in her bra and pants.

Profile is no longer active on SA. But the username was Twisha and the tag line said "Let's go out for dinner, 420 friendly". The contact she shared was 773906XXXX. Also had the audacity to ask more money later through cash app. The cash app Id is $lovingpam51X. If someone can identify this scammer please let everyone know.

I've chatted with her, and she seemed legit but communication went silent so I moved on. She had a local area code and messaging did not seem like it was a scam attempt.
