Posts: 452Reactive to rpr means syphillis. It's hard to read but looks like reactive is highlighted. Dummy told on herself 😂.

Isn't reactive on the last one a bad thing?

I got tested at a walk in clinic last December just to be safe and everything came back clean but HSV-2. Never had any symptoms and never did it raw. It felt like the world was ending until I learned that blood test for hsv2 could yield false positives when the igg test is used and you're in a low positive range. I got retested at another place where they used a more sensitive test instead of a walk in clinic and came back as a false positive. Never been more relieved in my life, however I haven't been in the hobby since because of it. I only ever go to AMPs and always wrap it up, never even got a BBBJ, but I'm still worried about actually catching HSV-2. Is there a way to avoid getting it entirely or is it just vigilance?

Posts: 2198HIV cases in heterosexuals now out paces homosexual s by 30%. !
I have believed for many years now that BBFS is foolish. The other question is what percentage were engaging anal sex.
Anal sex is extremely risky since activity activity tears the lining during sex So therefore there is a much greater chance of blood to semen contact. The HIV can only exist in very narrow temperature range range to be transmitted. The risk of BBFS has been low. But that may be charging.

What's the consensus on how to stop or prevent UTI? Currently on amoxicillin and Augmentin / Clavulanate. Pretty sure from provider I met off SB. Only frequency of urination not a burning sensation. Looking for secrets. Does baking soda and water work for preventing?

With some of the bare / STD talk in recent posts, where do you guys go for testing? I looked quick at one of the major labs in CT and it was something like $250 which seemed kind of steep. (my insurance isn't great and doubtful it would cover any of that) Though I also heard you can get it done for free at some clinic (s) in downtown Hartford?

Posts: 69Great guides Wally. How do I get the "pill combination of Cefixime, Doxycycline monohydrate, Metronidazole"?
Docs usually prescribe you whatever they choose. Or do you directly tell them I want a prescription for these three antibiotics?

Posts: 723It's also important to note that, in my experience, STD panels usually don't include HSV testing. You need to specifically ask for it.

To amplify / expand.
The seropositivity to HSV-1 in the US population is around 70%. Better to give an exact # than adjectives like 'most'.
I get tested periodically, so IK that I am negative for HSV-2, and all my practices are aimed at keeping it that way. It starts w / who I see, and then what I do when I see them. Simple. I don't want to get into any debates, but you should look for yourself at the CDC statistics on seropositivity to HSV-2 by age and race.
If you are active in any of the activities covered on this site, and you have a SO who you actively have a physical relationship with, you really better know everything there is to know, and have a lot of self-control. Passing something / anything to the SO is the fastest road to divorce (no comment about morality).

Posts: 785Almost everyone here has oral herpes. Most people are exposed as children, causing cold sores. Any time you share utensils or kiss your mom. Not a big deal. Good luck enjoying kgirls without any kissing.

It is technically an STD but in practice does not act like it.

If you have HSV-1 like most people, you technically have a life-long STD. But you are still going to kiss people right?
Certainly if you have an outbreak of cold sores (HXV-1) or a flare up (HSV-2), I would refrain from kissing or sex. That is the highest risk period by far. It took me 10 years on this hobby to get genital herpes so if you have a problem with herpes you better find another hobby soon.
It bears saying again that 90% of people with genital herpes do not know they have it. Believe what you want if it helps you feel better.

It is the one STD you are going to get eventually even if you are always using a condom. It took me years to get it, even with 100% cfs I got it on my scrotum. It is an unfortunate part of life but something a lot of people have. For most people it gets mild after the initial outbreak. It was bad the first year only, now asymptomatic. Even if you are not religious, you will pray for mild symptoms soon.
It is a common lifelong virus. Your body kills most of it off, then the rest hides for a year until your antibodies disappear before coming back, starting the process again. Since I already have genital herpes same as 45 million other US adults, there is nothing for me to worry about anymore.
With that in mind, why do we do do this hobby? I think this article touches on some examples. Bonus points if you recognize the girl.

For every other STD excluding herpes, I have a complete std solution guide with both prevention and cure. Getting tested anonymously, how to get treated, and how to deal with an SO:

I will drop random guides to that blog from now on.

Posts: 362Yeah. But even after years in this hobby (decades really) and being sexually free outside the hobby, I've still never gotten HSV-1. They say it's not possible to be immune, but I often wonder if I am proof they are wrong LOL.

And then there are the two Herpes strains, which I consider to be acceptable risks because even though it is possible to get it with no sores, the odds are FAR lower of spreading between breakouts.
But even the curable ones have terrible long term effects if you don't test, find them, and then cure them.
