So the following is my first session at Gold Rose Spa in E. Hartford for others to learn from my experience. I did make an appointment the previous night for early morning weekday. I wanted to use their table shower so I got there and the place was pretty dead. Parked in the back went in through the back where I met Lucy. The CT shops are hit or miss. Lotus spa in Newtoen (a good 45 min from airport) has been talked about recently on this board as well as another AMP review site. Haven't been, but it sounds like provider vary.

New Haven has a couple spots as well (hour from you).

I'm not too familiar with any of the Hartford area shops, but they do exist; just not sure if you'll have the Full experience if you go.

Basically, for FS you have 2-3 options in New Haven. 2-3 in Briedeport. 3 in Monroe. 1 in Newtown and 3 in Danbury.

Perhaps some of the Hartford-area guys can guide you in the right direction locally.

Several other members recommended this place so I believed their glowing reviews and tried it out myself only to be disappointed.

It's not always accurate when others give positive reviews but as they say. YMMV.

I stopped by about a month ago and I had the same experience. HH poor massage, poor finish cost 50 house plus 80. I heard good things about this place and that's why I stopped.

I assumed it wasn't just me that got burned. You got a worse deal because you only did a half hour.

I don't know what these ladies think when they hustle and upsell mediocre level one service but in the long run it will cost them lost business.

Sorry you had a similar crappy experience. Don't always believe other mongers reviews. Many have a very low threshold of what a good experience is.

And sometimes they embellish the activities they actually get. An occupational hazard I suppose.
