There's a lot of misinformation floating around there, especially from SW and misinformed mongers. Some think cops need to tell you they are a cop if you ask them. Some SW think cops can't buy you anything so they will ask you to buy them a cig or a drink. Some think cops can't touch you so they will ask you to touch their privates or show them your penis. Some people on this forum think cops can use what you post here as incriminating evidence but you will be safe if you say "it was a dream. " All types of dumb ideas floating around.

I've been caught balls deep in a SW. In my experience, they just checked my info and let me go. I can't say that this is the current philly pd's official policy but it has been my experience in a few cases.

Stings definitely happen on the ave but usually for the girls. A male cop would pose as a monger and try to pick up girls. One SW I know was given three strikes but a judge just let her go because she is a guardian of a minor. Another SW I know was caught in a hotel in a different county. Her full name was posted in that county's local news paper.

I haven't heard of any stings on mongers from any credible sources. And I imagine having a female cop trying to pose as a SW would put her in a dangerous and unnecessary situation.

There was one report on here where a monger got a letter from the police saying he was seen talking to a SW. They got his plate info and sent it to his personal residence. But that was probably 10+ years ago.

There was one mentally ill monger who would post on this forum a million times a day. One of the last things he posted was getting into an argument with a SW and she would accuse him of rape, etc. The cops came and took a neutral stance and he was thankful to them for that. But then he completely disappeared shortly after. His account got removed and he is completely awol.

Personally, if you don't have any other criminal background, I don't think anything would happen if you get caught. I think philly pd have bigger things on their list like drugs, guns, shootings, dirtbikes, atvs, etc. They don't even send anyone if you are in a car accident but no one is hurt.

As for out of state plates. I don't think they would care at all. I've driven plenty of times with out of state plates with no issue. And there is a guy in a big red van that has florida plates. He lives in his van and drives up and down the ave to pick up SW. The cops seem to leave him alone. He even parks in wide open places without any issues.

In my opinion, on kensington ave, you are more likely to be killed in a hit and run or a drug shoot out than to be arrested by cops for getting a BJ. But with that said, their policies may change at any moment and they may use that as an excuse to search you or your vehicle, if they think you have illegal guns or drugs.

I am not a subject matter expert, but I have a little bit of background in how this works; you are absolutely right across the board. Also. You can be arrested for nearly anything. The blanket disorderly charge. Convicted is another story, but no one wants the hassle.

There was a sting once in west Philly that I saw. Near the old blue moon motel (not sure if that's still there). Would have been around 10+ years ago. But it did happen. I've read the occasional inquirer story about busts / stings on Kensington. It's been a bit.

Just an observation. Before people use to post photos of some of the good streetwalkers, now it seems dead. (yes I know I'm guilty too).

Anyone confirm the new laws in Philly? Like if you get caught w a SW in the act in your car what happens? Not too long ago, you would get arrested in a sting operations and LEO (PPD VICE) would regularly set Jons up. The news also use to take your pic and publicly embarass you. What happens in 2024? Can you still get arrested for negotiating w one if she's on the sidewalk? Most Jons get arrested who were just talking and accused of solicitation. Do stings still happen? Those streets seem empty, but 2 LEOs coincidentally drove by my parked car the night I was getting head off a sexy skinny redheaded WSW. Worst case is she ditches her dope in your car, and you catch the possession charge. Unless they have video of money changing hands or the negotiation, they have no proof of solicitation.

They could maybe bust and ticket you for public lewdness or exposure, but the charge would never stick.

Stings are still a thing, but not a worry if you don't make deals through the car window.

Probably have a far greater chance of catching an STD than a charge in Kensington in 2024.
