I've been tempted to visit providers at the Red Roof Inn, but when I looked up the property on Google Maps, the rooms are accessed from the outside, so a person sitting in a parked car (ie LE) could observe my entering a provider's room. I'm not comfortable with that. I'm much more comfortable entering a provider's room in a hotel where her room is accessed from a corridor. I am I being careful or paranoid? (BTW, I guess this is the textbook definition of the difference between a motel and a hotel.).

It is an additional level of risk. Though I frequently visit, I'm always a bit nervous for the reasons you mentioned and the general amount of activity around the place.

I hear ya. A motel like this, yeah, you're exposed to direct surveillance of the room door and depending what's around the site from potentially very far away. On the flip side, with a hotel, you can be assured these days the lobby, corridors, and every exterior door has cameras.

I share your paranoia, clearly others won't. There's risks no matter where you choose to indulge in this hobby.
