In the medical field are support jobs people think are nice and prestigious. But are actually the worst and traumatic. Watching people die and suffer, wishing for death but unable to. She said she understood how bad people have it, even though you want to die you cannot die. That is true suffering. Some people wanted to kill themselves to avoid adding to their family's medical debt. They are about to die anyways and thats all they can think of. But they can’t go through with it. She had to talk people out of suicide. She had to work double shifts without sleep. Sometimes 80 hour weeks.

Yes this job is hard but it's not the worst. At least it pays. I did not understand why a girl like her took this job until she told me all this on our second date. She is not in debt, she chose this after that kind of work and the toll it took on her health.

She also had a boyfriend who was quite successful, but violent. You cannot be happy with someone like that, money is not enough for love. Better to never marry than be with someone who makes you unhappy. This is why I dont judge peoples choices, her choice was the right one. Lets not judge people we dont know well, there is always a reason.

She said that it taught her to save for her future. She doesn't need this job, but it is a way to save for retirement so she doesn't end up like the people she saw.
