Sounds like you're in good shape and that's great, but a lot of people don't have 401 k's nor play the stock market. A very large percentage of Americans live paycheck to paycheck for whatever reasons. Most Americans are suffering because of the prices of Everything going up. It's nice to know there are a few that aren't.

Posts: 305Instead of having a political discussion let's just have a reality discussion. We have 401 k's, mine and everyone's that I know has gone up incredibly. I have a family member that got divorced 2 years ago, gave the ex-wife a lump sum in the agreement (which he took out of his retirement) and he is already back whole. The Stock Market is at a record high, GDP is great, wages are up, unemployment is low as hell. Those are not propped up, those are facts.

That is why their profits are at records. Inflation is high but at 3% it's lower than last year and it has been dropping.
So yeah, prices are high but for me and some other of us who have a few different streams of income, this is a good time. If you use any of the main 6-8 metrics to measure the economy (GDP, Stock Market, Wages, Job Creation / Employment, Inflation, Costs) it is good in at least 4-5 of those. That is a fact. So there is nothing wrong with us agreeing that prices are high and inflation is too high but you can also agree about the good things.
Lastly, there are still girls who are not charging crazy amounts. Hell, I got texts today, as I am sure most of us did, of two very popular girls who see pretty much everybody, begging for business and giving "specials" today.

Posts: 150Regardless of who's trying to convince me about the economy, I don't need to be influenced by anything but my pockets and the price of food and gas to tell me the reality about inflation. It wasn't long ago I could actually afford a nice massage.

I've been there twice and both times with 2 different girls they wanted more than the $70 for their efforts. My last one was Kendra who like a stripper touched herself more than she did me. So I settled for a L1 because L2 was 40 more. She got the job done but it took her at least 10 minutes to get to me. I'm not going back.

Are you kidding? Do you have a Morgage payment? The price of literally everything has went through the roof, including what these chicks are charging. Companies are making record profits because our government is printing money and giving it away by the billions to illegals who are in turn spending it. If you think this propped up economy is good with this inflation. I have a bridge in the keys to sell you. LOL.

The Sarasota news is reporting about an arrest at the New Island Spa on Caring Way in PC (is New Island Spa the same as Gulf Coast Spa? The news report contains the provider's booking photo. Usually, booking photos make the girl look haggard even if she is decent looking in person. In this case the girl looks fairly attractive in her photo, so does that indicate she is stunning in person?

Posts: 305LOL amen brother. Sometimes people say or post shit about the Economy and I'm certain they are either living in a parallel universe or just parroting shit they heard. Inflation is bad but been dropping, prices are 100% still too high but literally most businesses are getting record profits. Target, Walmart, Publix, Tyson. Corporate profits as a whole are literally up from last quarter.

Small parlors are suffering because the days of the ladies just living there are likely over with the increase in oversight. Having girls live in the massage parlor is literally the #1 way to get raided for suspicion of trafficking.

Posts: 64Really? I'm spending more money than ever thanks to this economy and the stock market at record highs. Just last night I ate with a friend who works at a local business and they continue to make record profits year after year.

Posts: 284Between the new Laws, people worried about the election, and this being the first off season in 5 years majority of the snowbirds going back, there is less people spending money. Uncertainty is a huge concern for Americans right now. Personally I think someone like the Aromatherapists places will fill the need. To much to be earned once everything has settled down.

Posts: 813Closing the AMP's is not sustainable
People who snowbird will stop snow birding because this is one of the reasons they come down here, that will effect seasonal real estate, and the Gulf side is a lot more seasonal than the Atlantic. Downward pressure on prices will force changes back. Weather sucks in the Summer in FL. You need AMPs and such to keep demand for visitors / male retirees up. There's not much commerce. Even the Red Sox and Twins (and spring teams farther north) are losing fans.
Just worried about trafficking and leave consensual play alone.

This board has been awfully quiet for obvious reasons. But can we count the spas that were closed beyond the 11 in the news? Nothing new that uncle LEO would not know already.

Posts: 207I'm not sure that would work. Teaching Chinese to someone laying on a table partially or without clothes would not be standard or customary to that act and thus considered massage.

"A massage establishment must maintain a complete set of legible records in English or Spanish, which must include the date, time, and type of service or treatment provided; the full legal name of the employee who provided the service or treatment; and the full legal name, home address, and telephone number of the client or patient."
It then says: "A copy of the client's or patient's photo identification may be used to provide the full legal name and home address of the client or patient. " What this means is that they MAY use a copy of an ID to satisfy the requirement for information not that an ID is required.
It goes on: "Records required under this paragraph must be maintained for at least 1 year after a service or treatment is provided. All information required under this paragraph must be collected and recorded before any service or treatment is provided to a client or patient. The establishment must confirm the identification of the client or patient before any service or treatment is provided to the client or patient. " Nothing here says they must see or have an IF.
I go to legit massage places all the time, they don't require an I'd and some now want my name, address, phone they either put on an intake form or in a computer. If they want to see an ID or copy it, I would refuse the service. They have no right to see an I'd and I'm not letting anyone copy it or store it. Hotels sometimes want to see an I'd but if they try to scan or copy, I refuse and go elsewhere.
The only ID requirement in this law is that those providing the service must have a valid government ID while working in the establishment.
This site auto corrects capital (ID) to I'd. No way to avoid it.
