Is there any way to weed out which Latina ads are legit, or at least more legit? I understand that similar to the Hotel Asian set up, what is in the photos won't be what you'll find behind the door, but typically a good representation and generally less hit or miss. Can any of you corroborate this? Is it worth pulling the trigger? I drive by the ones that post Eagle Creek regularly for work and have thought about taking the plunge but also don't want to be messing with gang banger pimps either.

Up until about six months ago, I could tell the difference at first glance but I've been caught up in other things more lately so I haven't been watching the ads much. I can tell you that the Latina agency was pretty consistent with their ads so, seeing one ad that is a little out of character is a red flag. They usually have several different ads with different phone numbers coming out throughout the course of each day. All the ads were different but they also all were done in the same style with certain word usage and phrases showing up over and over. If you've got the time to hunt down a bunch of ads each day for a week and compare them, you should be able to see it. Of course, I had to stop doing it because life got too busy as I'm sure it is for most people.

The Eagle Creek location was being listed in legitimate ads before I stopped watching but that doesn't really mean much. They've also had periodic locations on the Plainfield side of the airport. The last time I tried to go check them out, the ad was for an airport area hotel in Plainfield. I was somewhere around S Emerson when I contacted them and, by the time I got to the northbound leg of 465, they were telling me that they had to move. I was half expecting it though because I contacted them in the morning, before checkout time.

I'll ad my observations to this as I've watched the Latinas from the beginning and I've spent a lot of time screwing with the scammers. My own personal experiences with the Latinas was from the very early days of their operation and I never saw any real red flags then. Of course, the girls are definitely not the ones pictured in the ads and it's a real mixed bag but there is sometimes a good one. They are really an exact copy of the Asian hotel operations, right down to the fake pics and off-site phone handlers. I have never seen a report of a scam that definitely pointed to this Latina operation. The reports that included links to the ads always turned out to be copycat ads. I've been seeing fake ads that mimic the Latina ads for a long time now. I've also seen a few that mimic the Asians. Maybe there is a new gimmick but, in the past, all of these scam ads had the same MO. They sent a couple threatening messages and then several gory pictures and demanded payment to compensate for wasting the girl's time.

Now, KJohn58's experience, as reported, does not sound to me like the typical scammer. I can see, however, that this could have been a miscommunication. The times I tried the Latinas, they had two or three girls working out of the same room. The handler, pretending to be the girl, told him she had to move. He may have expected him to know that all the girls would be moving to another hotel. When he continued to try the numbers in the other ads, the handler may have really thought he was screwing with them even though the situation wasn't clearly explained. Unless there was more than the report stated, it would seem that the handler probably just black listed his number because nothing further was said. Just my take on it but, if it was a scam, they wouldn't have stopped just because he didn't respond. The ones I've seen would start calling back to back if you ignored them. More than once, after I blocked their number, they would start calling from a different number until I blocked that one too.

This is a house about a block east of Rose next to vacant building.

A while back, there was an Asian outfit running out of an apartment in the Castleton area. I never tried them but I remember seeing a report or two. I don't remember what was reported but I don't think it was anything bad. A while later, I saw an ad with an address of a house in the same general area. I assumed it was the same outfit but never heard anything about it. It's possible that they've gotten another house or, another outfit saw what they were doing and imitated them.
