Hi Gman,

I have seen a couple that claimed to take credit cards. My suspicion is they have a Square account or the like and the processor doesn't really know what this is for. I have never done that however. I have used Cashapp. But after the end of this year, with the new law going into effect, this hobby is going to have to be a cash only hobby from here out. The idea that the providers can no longer be charged with a crime related to sex work, while we are going to be treated as Human Traffickers with a minimum 4 month felony jail sentence, means we really can't leave any trace. I've never used drugs, but just imagine trying to do a drug deal with a credit card or electronic payment. Similar risk. Leave no trace. The biggest concern I see is that when a provider gets in trouble for something else (Drugs, probation violation, etc), she could bargain by giving up all her clients. She will have zero risk in keeping her stored data anymore. In fact, this is now gold for them. Imagine detectives racking up hundreds of indictments just by pulling transaction records? Having the provider testify, along with your transaction records and comms is more than enough to convict you after the fact. They would never go through all this for the current misdemeanor charges, but a felony (or hundreds) garners lots of LEO investigative hours.
