A similar law is already implemented in Texas right? I was curious as to how it affected things there. I roamed around the Texas boards a bit and they seem to have very little activity from a posting perspective.

I believe this site isn't used as much in Texas. Back when I used to go there a lot Eccie was the main one although that site seems way more dead now than it used to be as well. Something else may be more popular there now.

By reading posts of strip clubs in Dallas, I would say everything will be fine.

I was curious so I did some research:

2020 before law 75 arrests.

2021 after law 282 arrests.

2022 298 arrests.

2023 376 arrests.

Up your game how? It sounds like if they want to get you, you're done. I bet they start this new law out with a bang. They are going to try and send a message. I bet they start using escorts as informants on a regular basis. I think I know my strategy, but probably won't be taking many chances for a while starting on 12/1.

One big change with the new law. Up until now we've all been on the misdemeanor posture. What this really means is that they're going to try to get you to tell on yourself or just charge you anyway, knowing they might not get a conviction but create some disruption in your life (as you communicated). Make information difficult enough to get and you just might get through it. Probably the biggest change we have to get ready for is the 4 mos-1 year mandatory jail time felony. They're going to fund lots more investigative hours to getting you. One of the changes that's flown under the radar is their modification to what 'solicitation' is in this state now. You only now need communication and 'intent'. Specifically in the verbiage it says that intent can be 'driving to the location' or 'withdrawing money from an ATM'. So, expect to have them pull a warrant for your bank records. They can present this warrant electronically to your bank and they'll get the records faster than you are notified by your bank. Your SO will be notified of this, just like you will be. Every single person that intends to continue with this hobby after 12/1 will need to completely up their game.

I see this advice constantly. I don't know why you all think the legal system is designed so that if you don't say some "magic" word -you won't get arrested and charged just the same. And that is enough to ruin your reputation or relationship just the same. Explain to a SO how you got arrested by accident, oh and BTW. Can you pick up my car from the Marriott parking lot. Oh and also come pay my bail?

If it is a sting and you show up at the house / hotel / motel. You are getting arrested; no questions asked. Not to mention a warrant against your phone will show them everything they need to know (when you contacted, where you originally contacted from, your GPS location to show how you arrived, they can definitely pull up deleted texts, and they can probably pull up and texts in deleted apps).

And when you get to a judge and try to argue that "No no no your Honor, I was there to buy cookies". They will roll their eyes and fine you and/or lock you up just the same.

There is no way to be in this hobby and be 100% immune from the police. Instead the goal is to avoid being robbed or injured / killed or "identified" by these professional ****** and their pimps and then they inject themselves into your personal life past the 30 minutes you paid for.

Let's say they have evidence that you were mongering before Dec 1 but are waiting for the misdemeanor to become a felony and then bring the charges against you. Would that be legal or even possible??
