I've read lots between here and TER on Jordan (Ashburn / Herndon area). Anyone with recent encounters? She seems to have about 50-50 on the monger reviews. I thought this was a huge red flag from someone I'd seen a number of times for a few years, and left rather than drop my money on the floor of a hotel. I got the sense that she was leaving the business and ripping off her customers as a parting gift.

Did anyone else get this request, and actually get to see her? I hate to think that she would pull this kind of scam, but it seemed so off that there was no way I was going through with it.

It's also possible that she gave the phone to her friend to use and see her customers here, which she's done before, and her friend decided to run a rip off. Either way, I wasn't taking the risk.

Exactly! I just walk into hotels like I have a room there. I dress in sweats and clothes that seem like I am going back to my room. Even had occasions where the cleaners are on the same floor as the provider. Never make eye contact with the front desk.
