Can I get some guidance on how / where to get a burner phone please? There are lots of options in stores but it looks like they need activation? Are their any prepaid phones that doesn't require activation at WM?

I'll second Jayjaytwo: I got a Tracfone burner years ago and it has served me well. I bought my last one when 3 G service was going the way of the dinosaur a couple years ago. No big frills, but it is a smartphone. Got it at Target, paid cash. Every three months I have to buy a 60 minute /90 day card, cash for $19 at almost anywhere, like 7-11. One thing is, if you're like me, most all of your correspondence with providers is through texts. Some of these ladies can eat them up with inane messages. I heard about buying cards for Tracfones for $5 good for 1,000 text messages. I used to be able to find them at Walmarts, but haven't been able to for a while. Now I buy them on Amazon using a cash card like Greendot. They are real. 1,000 messages for $5 keeps me going for quite a while, even with the most scatterbrained, ADHD providers, LOL!

You can use a text app and then get another app that hides it in a calculator app that requires a password.
