Here's my thought. I don't know your personal situation, many have different travel and flexibility restrictions. But IF you can get away for a weekend, and have at least a little money (not a lot). Get up to NYC Queens / Flushing. Train can be real cheap (like 50 each way). Buses are even less, crazy. Book a bus ride, or train trip. Finding a place to stay is a little more, maybe 150. So your in a little bit up front.
