It's 50/50 there are girls that will give in to a lower amount. Just need to know how to persuade them. You used one tactic of walking away. Similar tactic when haggling at a swap meet. You counter with a lower amount, the seller says no, then you walk away. Then the seller tells you hold on, hold on. LOL. I've used the walk away tactic when negotiating final price on a car. Sometimes I've had to wait days for the dealer to come back and agree. But I always got the lower price I wanted to pay. I've used the tactic as well and other tactics to negotiate a lower price with these girls. But as I said it's 50/50. You win some, you lose some. On to the next girl!
