Posts: 227Yeah, I'm sure it is out there and probably more so with a lot of the illegals with unknown backgrounds in the country now.

But as far as the massage places (AMPs) go. At least the ones I've ever gone to or frequent the girls pretty much work and come and go as they please and are always going on vacations and taking trips when they want (In fact have had several show me pictures while on their vacations and talking about where they went with friends & family. Even scuba diving, skiing, etc.) and have actually ran into one with her friend out at a nice restaurant not long ago. Also have seen a few drive up nice vehicles, too. So just think they're just working and making a living. If I ever actually thought that kind of stuff was going on would report it. I think the politicians like to just use that term at lot of times just to rile people up even when it obviously isn't the case.

I have no doubt that there is way more than the average American citizen knows about. I have two green card friends who brought over some family members and they stayed past their visa, so now illegals. They are working for cash in shitty jobs, with shitty pay and not much else. The owner of the business is fairly decent and there is no threats, beatings, real forced hard labor type situations and no sexual trafficking, but they could be classified as trafficked if pinched and they told their stories. This is due to the labor practices outside Florida law for less than half pay of Americans, no accountability by anyone, zero benefits normalized workers (think breaks) get and zero time off. They certainly don't have enough to go back to their home country and both say they don't want to regardless. Technically, they could be considered trafficked, but they don't see it that way and do appreciate what the owner is trying to do for them even though it's BS.

Sexual trafficking is real too, but no where near what Grady and other LE agencies spew in their press conferences. Last year a local paper or website followed up on one of Grady's big busts from a few years ago. Sadly, I can't find the article or exact link, but it was something similar to this. So read with a grain of salt since I don't have a real reference and pulling from a failing memory. LOL! Something like over 200 prostitution busts, like 40 sexual trafficking charges and a host of drug, gun and other charges. After a year, the paper or website revisited and all but 2-3 of the sexual trafficking charges were dropped completely. So, when you read in the paper or read a study, dig deeper and see where the stats come from. Is the report based on number of initial charges or actual convictions once sentencing is complete?
One final thought and I have no idea, so again, bear with me. Many of our providers have a guy friend / BF / pimp / dboy that works their texts, is their go boy, secures their meds, runs finances, is owed money or are just your standard pimp. All these Klingons derive some profits from illegal activities of another person. In a bust where the Klingons gets rolled up too, can they be charged with human trafficking? That certainly would increase the number of initial charges.

So does human trafficking happen here in the US? Yes. Is it as large as what you posted? Fuck no. Does most of it involve prostitution? No.

Politicians are using the guise of human trafficking as the guiding force to stamp out consensual prostitution. There are lots of cases where a woman sells her body to make ends meet with prodding from someone else, a pimp, boyfriend, husband. There are lots of women that consider themselves forced, but are these women kept under lock and key? No. It is no different than an abusive boyfriend telling his girlfriend to go to her job at Walmart, or else. She feels forced, but she can leave him. Most of these prostitution-related "trafficking " cases are like this.
Most of the true "prostitution trafficking" cases are those involving immigrants, like the Hispanic houses I mentioned earlier, or the Asian massage places. Occasionally, there is a runaway teenager pimped out, but again, it isn't like the girl is locked up. She could easily just leave, go to the cops, but won't because she will be sent back home and doesn't want to go there.
I am always on the hunt for pussy. I have never come across any trafficked girls here in Tampa during my hunt. If I suspected it, I would contact LE and report it.

Posts: 424Including servants brought from other countries to work as domestic help (often voluntarily) like many Arab and Indian families here do, as well as "forced" marriages, which arranged marriages could be defined as, again which are commonplace in some cultures. I'm sure it's a problem but no way 1 in 300 people in this country are trafficked in the way most people think of as trafficking. These groups inflate stats to get headlines and funding. It's a problem of course.

Posts: 1855I know someone who works for a nameless agency who is on a taskforce for human trafficking. ITs real, and this person has told me all they do, and that yes, this area does have a lot, along with Georgia. Its not just sexual trafficking, but human and labor trafficking too.

Actual human trafficking is really rare. Florida politicians have been lumping simple prostitution into the human trafficking laws constantly in the last few years. I have been actively seeking fun for play for 35 years, and have not come across anyone that is being forced or trafficked. AFAIK, the only documented cases recently are relatively closed rings of mostly Hispanic groups engaging in this, again, pretty rare and having nothing to do with any simple prostitution.

Link is for the owner and the Sarasota spa but be careful when in Tampa.

Manatee county, Fla. (WWSB) - The Manatee County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman after receiving a tip that her business was being used as front for several illegal operations, including human trafficking.
Karen McGlynn has been arrested and charged with racketeering. She's the owner of Latin Relaxation on Cortez Road. The investigation began after a 2021 tip to law enforcement.
That arrest came after a year and a half of investigation. According to arrest records, deputies say that searches of McGlynn's electronic devices reveal that she was posting to adult themed sites. She also owns two other "illicit" spas in the Tampa Bay area. Electronic devices show McGlynn talking about sexual activity and detectives say patrons of these establishments admitted to paying $220 for these acts.
There is currently a joint investigation between the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in regards to the allegations of trafficking.

"Including, but not limited to, the intentional removal of any drape without specific written informed consent of the patient."
"Used or unused condoms are prohibited in a massage establishment."
"Requiring massage establishments to confirm the identification of a customer or patient before providing services or treatment."
"A massage establishment must maintain a complete set of legible records in English or Spanish, which must include the date, time, and type of service or treatment provided; the full legal name of the employee who provided the service or treatment; and the full legal name, home address, and telephone number of the client or patient."
"A copy of the client's or patient's photo identification may be used to provide the full legal name and home address of the client or patient."
Time will tell if this law is accompanied by state-funded raids & inspections for the purpose of Grady-like photo-ops.
