I've seen a lot of these scams on fetlife too. Anybody who want deposit before meeting or party via cash app is a scam.

Well, yes it is. Your concerns are in addition to that. I don't have paper trail issues, I'm still never going to send a deposit.

But there's an even bigger issue: the deluded guys that send deposits are causing an absolute *flood* of scammer ads. Yes, this is blaming the victim, that makes in no less accurate.

Good work fellas. There's more to be done. I'm speaking to the old school and smarter mongers. I've been seeing more providers complain about guys not sending deposits after policy changes. These are real ladies not the scam bots many fall for. Most real ones start off requesting with cash only and started asking for deposits. From what I gathered it's outcall girls that drive several miles and minutes to get ghosted (it happens on both sides to mongers too, just part of the territory). Others simply did it because mongers were quick to send cash and they saw other providers doing it so they thought it was becoming the norm. I notice alot of providers reversing this trend by putting I'm their ads "NO DEPOSITS", or cash only. For all the rookie mongers, never send deposits.

Deposits are just a complete pain the ass because I have to jump through hoops not to leave a paper trail. It's not even about the dollar amount or the risk of being scammed. I've had some success being very up front about not paying deposits. I introduce myself, provide verification info, and then explain why I don't do deposits.
