Posts: 735If you park away from the place
You don't have to walk back to your car. Duck into a store or bar or something. Don't go directly to your car if you notice a drone.

Getting those shots on the drone, I don't think it'd be more than 50-100 ft up in the air with a dji mini pro drone. So the drone hum / lights should be somewhat noticeable (in one of the FB shots, you see someone looking at the drone).
The best course of action is for you to take out your own dji mini pro drone that you kept in your pocket and tail their drone and try to ID them, LOL. The one tailing you has maybe half its battery while yours has full battery. So unless someone wants to lose a drone, you would have a good chance of ID'ing them.

I have been doing this hobby for years and I still don't park right in front of an establishment. Be safe and keep your head on a swivel.

Posts: 371The videos posted on FB, and if you frame by frame it, you can make out license plate pretty clear. The DJI mini pro 3/4 has a decent camera and is under 249 g. To be clear, with those shots, the drones aren't loitering at max altitude.

Detail of license plate numbers and ones facial features would be very poor shot from an inexpensive drone (DJI mini) from a distance that one could not see or hear. Doing a search on google the only video I could find from this FB page was shot using a DSLR camera from a parked car in close range or using a zoom lens. Shooting with a DSLR and a powerful zoom lens makes much more sense.

Its interesting how a place can go from No extra services, or a do it yours self place, to a FS place in months.
Went to the place in Aloha. Near the Dr Feelgoods pub. By the water store. Had a nice massage. Left happy. Actually her massage was great. I was stiff and sore from work. Not used to this physical stuff. Heavy lifting. But she did a good job.
Cheers for now stay dry Hot weather coming this week.

Posts: 371It's likely a <249 g drone, as those are the most pervasive. They can be somewhat difficult to spot, especially if they're high up.

Edit: Now that I think about it, its highly unlikely person just has a drone loitering. Battery only lasts 30min, so a 4 hour recon would be 8 batteries. If I were to guess, it'd be far more efficient to have someone spot directly in line of sight of the store door, wait for someone to go in, wait maybe 10-15 min, then start the loitering. So I don't think you'd see any drone loitering until you're being tailed.

Get the "Drone Scanner" app for your phone. It can tell you who and what drone is in the area. The only exception is play drones and DJI mini that weight less than 1/2 pound. All others are required to transmit location and FAA Remote I'd number. They could fly without a transmitter but the fine if caught is very high.

I was at zen foot in Beaverton, Leah gives an excellent massage giving the pressure you want, she also gives the best prostrate massage in town. When I was there I saw a new girl. She looks younger. I will try her next time.

It's technically not illegal to photograph people and plates, since you're out in public. You see it all the time with First Amendment auditors filming police interactions.

Many drones have an auto-landing feature if it loses connection with the operator or is low on battery, so a hunk of metal and plastic dropping out of the sky into a busy roadway is likely to snarl up traffic or cause an accident.
As for harassment, you can be trespassed if told to leave by the store owners, not to mention it would be interfering with their business by scaring off customers, both of the parlor and surrounding stores. There's also a couple bills proposed last year dealing with harassment of individuals.

On google maps. If you scroll back in your timeline. All the places you go has been recorded and any one could see where you have gone. You can opt out of that by turning off your tracking in settings. While handy. If a significant other was searching your phone. You might have some explaining to do why you were parked at an AMP for half an our or an hour.
Off to the AMPs this weekend. I have a back up. Oh to decide which one to visit So many so little time.
Stay safe out there. Tons of creepers.
As for the other place. Your in public and I believe there is no law to protect you from getting videoed leaving an AMP. It would be fun to take down the drone though. Nice strange FB post. I wonder what made him or her so mad to set up and go to all the work to do that. Must of not gotten his happy ending. , and wants to save the world. You would think there are more productive things to do with your time and money. Like go protest on a college campus. LOL. Long live America. Sing the national anthem.
I have not visited a bunch of AMPs in the SE side of town in a while. So many break ins on cars. No safe place to park around SE much. I will read the reviews and see what is the current best place.
Cheers guys.
