For whatever reasons, it's become apparent they have the area targeted for that particular 'activity'.

I'd urge extreme caution as there are many other avenues they can employ to trap you (they do this for a living after all). The OP was lucky they were obviously looking for recorded evidence the 'John' was told she was underage. They could have just as easily waited until you were in the room in some state of undress and then went for the; "I'm only 15" line. Opting out at that point becomes moot because they still have you on intent to patronize.

I doubt this is the last we're going to hear / read about stings in the area.
