Things might be different in the states you mentioned. I have yet to see an escort in Louisville ask for a deposit then followed thru. Not sure why you find it laughable when the the majority of the ones asking for a deposit are from fake ads and rip-off artists. There are probably some out there who are legit, but the vast majority are not.

I have seen a couple actual high end escorts, and while the experience was memorably a cut above, it wasn't enough above to justify the added expense.
