Speaking for myself, I go to clubs for peace of mind. Low possibility of entanglements with LEO. Do I overpay? Yep. But it allows me to not worry about raising questions at home.

Some of them do but not many. Most of them have other commitments (BF / Married). Sometime they also come to CD if not working day to hang out. The staff is amazing at CD. When not busy then engage in conversations pleasantly.
