I've found that Google image search is much better than Tineye.

So many times that Tineye gave me ZERO results, Google found a bunch of matches.

Are you guys experiencing the same?

I tried to use Google image search so many times. All it ever finds is things like clothing the girl is wearing. Not matches for the actual person.

Is there some switch you have to flip or something to get picture associations like you do on Pimeyes (like this photo / person also exists on this other site)?

Absolutely. I use both all the time for a magazine I edit and Tineye has become almost useless in comparison--tho I still use both.
