When they're asking for a deposit and the location is a state, "airport", "downtown", or a generic street name in every city, 95% of the time it's a scam. There was a "send me a picture of the back of a gift card" scam years ago where they went to the trouble to google the address of a local hotel (which was too high end for anyone advertising to use, so there was another flag).

While everybody will preach against sending a deposit, it's your money to do with as you will. My only advice is never send more than your willing to lose out on.

Sorry this happened to you but you learned the hard way on this one. NEVER send a deposit! EVER!

Yes, there may be 2 chicks in the country that are legit and ask for a deposit, but 99.999% of the time you're going to get burned.

Yea I was in Huntsville a few weeks ago was ready to give her room number at the hotel when I got a call from her number!
