It could also be an issue with the booker or that day's booker. One time several months ago I e-mailed to schedule a "date" a week or so out after just seeing one a day or two earlier. They e-mailed back asking for all my verification info again. I replied back with something like: I'd just seen XYZ Monday 05/01/2023 at 5 pm. They replied back right away with something like: sorry you are good to book with XYZ#2 and the conformation letter. Maybe they've got some new bookers or new frequent flyer policies. I made a new appointment the other day and again no deposit requested.

Yes I agree the deposit kind of kills it. I'll tell you when I arrived for my appointment the Booker gave me the whole she has not arrived yet can you reschedule for the next day. Told them no and was very curious how my non refundable deposit was going to get back to me. Tuned out last minute miscommunication, she did arrive and I was sent up. Take that with a grain of salt but just my experience. Date turned out very good.
