This is female psychology. Once they've had one guy that was willing to pay $500 or whatever amount that's the highest. That becomes their new baseline. Anything less to them becomes 'settling'. A lot of girls nowadays say 'I would rather be single than settle'. So in this case I think a lot of them would rather not get anything rather than 'settle' for less. Completely different logic than a guy.
