This is a strange one for me.

If the company screws up we admit the mistake and offer free / greatly reduced product as a token of our appreciation. This beats the time, energy and expenses required to bring in new business. In this line of work, wouldn't it be better to take care of guys that see you on a regular basis rather than deal with the next guy who walks through the door who you have no idea whether or not they are a total jerk; or worse?

Good on you to walk away. These fakes think that if you show up, you will just stay and do it. No. If you're not the same girl or not similar OR not attractive then leave. The more they see this the more likely they will be honest.
