So I walk up to the front door. Its locked, I've never seen a normal hotel that has a front desk that closes. The sign on the door says after 11 pm you need a room key to enter the building. I decide to walk the perimeter of the building. As I'm going around I notice a sedan with two guys sitting in it in the side parking lot, strange but OK. I round the corner again and notice that truck had moved. Its no longer in the first spot on the corner, it had moved further down about halfway down the length of the building, backed into the spot again. Still had two guys sitting in it, as I walked behind it on the sidewalk I noticed one of them had their phone up and he was messing around with Snapchat. I continue walking down and towards the end of the building I notice an SUV parked at the end of the lot, also with two guys sitting in it. I round the corner again, head back to my car and leave through the front entrance.

All I can say to this is that don't ever feel like you are being too paranoid. Trust your gut instincts when it comes to the pay for play world. I ALWAYS take a quick drive around the property to assess the situation before going inside or proceeding. If it feels fishy to me, or if there are a bunch of people standing around or looking suspicious then I high tail it out of there. I think you made the right decision.
