I have no doubt the police told you were going to seek further action, or run this down, or do something for you relevant to the report made. I don't think you're "using" the police correctly either because you'd be implicating yourself in the solicitation of prostitution, which is the only real "crime" transpiring here. I do not believe there's a specific statute on the books in Indiana prohibiting skanks (realistically other men) from Illinois, Michigan, California or wherever from suckering people out a deposit fee to come over and bang. Sure there may be laws protecting people / businesses from this sort thing relevant to contracted services, or even services rendered / to be rendered. But we are not talking apples to apples. We are talking about a hobby existing outside of the law already for crying out loud, but yeah. Keep believing you're right and that you're doing it right. When the cops back in to talk I'm sure they'll just want to find a way to return your money and not press you for information on providers / mongerers. I'm sure of that!!
