Babysitting money up front is a very popular scam tactic. Never give $ up front, unless you don't mind losing it. Lots of seeking ads as well were scams. Babysit money, gift cards for my kid to keep them busy and money for gas or uber. Heard them all several times.

And all over the world at that. It's been my experience anytime thy want money upfront it's a scam especially in the USA.
