I've tried that before more than once. They usually always agree. Then most of the time after the first time they ghost. Or they will go back on their word to say they can't do the lower amount and is worth the higher number initially.

A good strategy is to pay an initial higher amount for a first date, & then a lower rate going forward. Say she wants $400 for a first date, agree but $250-300 going forward.
