These guys have been around forever. Ugly and old Chinese ladies usually reeking of cigarette smoke in dingy hotel rooms. Oftentimes old take out food containers scattered all over the place. Super shady, service is terrible, operated out of national city and Carlsbad mostly. Had a hotel near downtown at one time. Definitely not worth it.

They just ask for your name, age, ethnicity, and occupation as well as a picture of I'd (can clean out most of the info, just leave the name and birth year), and like a credit card (also with everything cleared out except the name). Up to you if that's something you'd want to go through! The booker is pretty easy to work with and so far I've been pretty happy with the girls there!

I got a warning for parking in the visitor spot without having a visitor's parking permit. Here is what the warning said.
"Guest vehicles without a parking permit will be towed at the owner's expense.
Guest parking requires a permit written out by the office. The office is open from 1 0:00 AM- 6:00 PM. Please Stop by during our operating hours to pick up a guest permit.
If it is after 6:00 PM, the resident you are visiting can purchase an overnight guest parking permit for you.
This is the first and only warning before tow."
Just when you get by the gate problem, now we got the parking problem. Can you imagine the guest passes that have to go out every day?

Thanks for the heads up. That's two strikes against the FEC location. First the gate (s) issues and now parking. Parking has always been a pain but now having to hike a quarter mile to deal with the gate, think I'll take a pass on FEC until a new and more accessible location is found. Access to the Renaissance locations is tolerable, discreet, and workable.
