Dayuse will definitely help with the timing and usually get you into a higher class of hotel for cheaper. Only rare issue is that its more of a 'soft reservation' for the hotel, and I've once or twice had the desk tell me the hotel filled up late the day before so they won't have a room until someone checks out and the cleaning staff gets to it. But in general its a godsend for us weekday warriors.

I've had a few girls host in my SD career, but so far those experiences have ranged from mildly awkward to downright disgusting, not to mention it could be dangerous with the wrong type of girl, so I strongly prefer controlling the scene with my own room.

For the longest time when I was close to O'Hare I would use Ambiance inn - 4 hours and it was the cheapest at 69 bucks maybe?

Now that I'm in the loop. Day Use or Hotels by Day is your friend. Discounted rates on reservations. But you're probably dropping at least 100 all in for 8 hours.

Don't expect SB's to host especially early on. I'm at a point now with an SB who said she's comfortable with me coming over to hers. I still prefer hotels. Can be as untidy as I want, fresh towels for showers etc.
