Your employer has right to search any company paid for equipment at any time and for any reason or no reason. I worked for a money center bank, and when they wanted to fire someone the first thing they did was go and inspect the phone / computer of the employee they were looking to terminate. They did this remotely, because the crap you agree to when you install company software gives them the right to remotely search / manage your device. 9 times out of 10 they got their "cause" during the search. Now human resources didn't typically do anything with the "found" information if the employee walked away (they would give severance due under the law or contract), but if the employee tried to fight they just plain got nasty.

I personally wouldn't risk a six figure job over saving $50 on a burner phone. Also, you don't want a scammer / provider to find your employer and cause trouble for you.
