You're overthinking it. 99% of the time it's hispanic or asian very high volume crapshoots. Google Voice has worked for me. Use a burner email when setting up for the first time. I think they now require a real phone # to link to, so if you're trying to go completely anonymous you'll need to buy a burner SIM card (only need it once). But if it's just for the hobby, that's unnecessary.
