Yes, most hotels don't allow employees to hang out in their bars or restaurants or go to guest rooms. They don't want the hassles.

Now that you've booked the room the SB would have access to all your personnel information through the hotel system. Now if she wants to do it in her name that's fine. You can pay with cash at some places. It's rare, and I've never done it, but who knows.
