Newb here. Attempted to have my first dream last weekend, but got a lot of radio silence and then one I was able to make plans with was in a part of town I was not comfortable going to. All of the info I found here has made me mostly comfortable with getting something set up, though.

I did have a couple of questions, though. One rule here is ID is sacred. I have had a few ask for my name. For the average person, this may not be an issue. Unfortunately for me, I have a rather unique name to the point where if someone cross referenced my name with GR, it probably would not take that much looking to find me. So to me, giving away my real name feels like giving away the sacred ID. I completely understand providers want to verify, but I also want to be as off the radar as I can for obvious reasons. Basically you should establish a hobby name and identity. Some of us have no SO or real life connections to protect from hobby activities.
