Ok, this is slightly off topic, because this girl is in Wisconsin, but had to share the profile, because of the crazy face tattoo. That is one of the most obvious and glaring red flags, for me. This is the site asking for your cell phone number upon signup, and it doesn't get published anywhere else to my knowledge. A burner phone is tied to a real SIM card, so that should be perfectly fine. You can't use a VOIP number though. It's simply a way to block scammers / fraudsters / fakes from signing onto the site is my guess.

And how does a SB know if your number is VOIP or not? If she is doing a lookup, run for the hills. No SB should be doing that ever, period b / c of the reasons you stated. It's also super weird, and likely a dude pimp/scammer in Eastern Europe / Africa you are talking to.

Lots of them do look ups these days, especially if they've been in the game for a while. All sorts of apps or websites out there that do it. I have the "Mr Number" app loaded on my phone, and most of the time it will reveal the name behind a non VOIP line. Sometimes it says "Suspected Spam", sometimes "Personal Line". But don't kid yourself that they're oblivious to these lookup mechanisms. These girls do network, they learn most of what they know from social media these days and most of them are very savvy at searching and figuring out how to verify as much as they can about a guy.

Now, in terms of the number of them that actually do it (versus the ones that know they can easily). The number of girls that actually complain about my fake number is maybe 1 out of 75 or so. Some of them don't really complain, they just say "is this your real number?" and I know they are fishing to see if I will lie or whatever. Why else would they ask that if they didn't already look it up? So I usually explain my reasons why they will not get my real number at first and most of them want an arrangement enough to just accept that and move on. The number of girls that do that (inquire about whether its my primary cell or not) is much higher. Like maybe 1 out of 15 or 20. So yeah, lots of them are looking up that number the very first thing when I send it to them on the site.

WYP pricing model never made any sense to me. It's a bit like the SecretBenefits model which is a total scam site now. I checked out SDM yesterday, it seems they've done some software updates since I last logged on over a year ago. SDM also requires a live cell phone # (not a voip or other easily faked #) to verify you are legit which honestly can filter scammers better than any other verification method. I don't like having to give them my real cell phone number to verify my account but maybe it's worth it.

I worry about how Seeking arbitrarily bans men. So I'm polite, even to the scammers. I just say I'm not interested in an online arrangement and wish them good luck in finding what they're looking for. If I piss them off, they might report me based on fabricated claims. After I wish them luck to lull them into a false sense of security, I report and block them.
