I would suggest paying house fees with the card, but always tipping in cash. Without pointing any fingers. When Paying with a CC they may tack on a small extra fee, a couple buck usually, so be aware of that.

And when negotiating for services or extras, if they know you have a CC they tend to stick to a higher price knowing you can pay it. But over all they prefer cash for multiple reasons.

Lastly, there can be unscrupulous spas that will over charge your card, or charge you more if they feel you didn't tip enough. They may count on you wanting to keep everything a secret and may not fight the overcharge.

Cash really is king in my experience.
