I've been on seeking for over a year and last month my account was put on hold pending verification. I don't think it's because of anything I said because I stay very generic until we get offsite. I removed the app and I'm probably done with SA.

Relating to privacy on SA, how hard is it to find someone's name with actual cell phone number? Someone in the past found me using facebook's phone number search. That was back when they had shitty privacy. I use textnow, which is ok for now. I don't trust them either, though.

The best bet is to get a burner phone. Ppm varies widely, but that seems reasonable. I don't use seeking anymore. You can use sites like Beenverified, they will give you a week's membership with limited #s of searches per day for $1. I find a lot of girls real names this way. You can't do it via google. Use a prepaid card that doesn't have enough to pay for your SA membership.

Knowing her real name is more insurance than anything. If she gets mouthy, or threatens you, you can always push back with that info. I have never figured out how to use it to get a girl into bed easier, or get her for a lower $.

I posted elsewhere, the LA thread, about an incredible woman I banged off SA, and I have found every shred of her life, because she has a very very public presence.

I agree with this. When adult friend finder was hacked some years ago, many users' names and email addresses were published on the internet. I don't want friends, family and potential civilian dates to see my name listed as a Seeking user if it is ever hacked.

Yes exactly. I was going to bring that up too. It's not a good look to be outed as being on a quasi-prostitution website, or at least as being on a site where "creepy old men try to groom innocent young girls", etc. You know how that twisted, bullshit narrative would play out. I just don't need my real name / identity associated with that, if it was hacked (or if the gov't decided to subpoena all their records, which is another possibility, however remote).

I don't need my real identity linked to what is essentially a prostitution site, not to mention the other risks involved. If you don't have a significant other or you do, but they don't have access to your credit card statements it shouldn't matter much to use your actual credit card.

Very true, I use my credit card and then immediately cancel my membership and delete my credit info from the site. My membership is still in effect for a month and no auto renewal from my credit card.
