So you've had valets go thru your car, find your weed and steal it.

Moral of the story: Valets are just guys trying to make some money, they don't want any problems with customers, just want their tips. Clubs will fire a valet in a second and replace him if that individual is upsetting customers. There's literally nothing to worry about.

Wait, there's nothing to worry about? After telling us you've been robbed by valets?

Personally I don't like people at quasi-legal businesses having my car and keys. Did you ever ask yourself why the club insists on holding your keys? I've asked over and over and haven't gotten a good answer.

Went to Bogarts the other night, I specifically went to see Harmony and she did not disappoint! Thick little white goth / alt girl, late 20's early 30's, shaved side head, colored hair, and tattoos. I venture that you have posted or commented about your distaste of valet parking at least 50 times over the years. Your experience is anecdotal. It follows that very, very few individuals have issues with valet parking as it would be harmful to these businesses if it happened in the manner and quantity of times that you suggest.

My anecdotal experience is that I valet parked hundreds of times over the years at strip clubs all over Detroit area and never had an issue at any of them. I've valet parked many hundreds of times at other restaurants and businesses. Again no issues.

So, is there another reason that you must bang this drum so oftenand loudly?

I would guess that 50 times is a serious undercount.

So how many times have I seen a post that says "never pay first"? Do people have a problem with paying first? I've paid first hundreds of times, never had a problem.

I don't care if you pay first and get ripped off, it's your money. Obviously you don't carry, or maybe you lock your piece in the trunk? They don't have valet parking as a service to make it convenient for the customer. They have it to have power over you. I'll keep talking about it as long as the clubs keep doing it.

Agreed. Reminds me of someone that used to troll the TUSCL comments for clubs in Chicago area, claiming all of them had issues with M-13 gangs & parking lot shootouts. Except for one bar, that he was always quick to mention!

Obviously I couldn't complain to any authority about having my illegal drugs taken out of the car, and it was my fault for pulling into valet in a vehicle that stunk like smoke & had a big fat sack somewhere very easy to find.

I'll weigh in, but on a different note about valet. First, I never have a problem with letting valet park my car. If I want to play in the club, then I have to play by their rules.

However, last week a thief broke into several cars at Players including an Audi that was parked in the alley behind the club. The thefts were videotaped by Players cameras, but not sure they can identify the thieves since they were masked and it was dark. So just a friendly reminder to not leave anything valuable in your vehicle when you valet.

At the least, lock it in the trunk.

And this is applicable to valet or self-park. Don't leave anything visible in your vehicle, especially in the front seat area.

Thieves look for visible items in cars; phones, laptops, briefcases, purses, etc.

And this applies anywhere; I chuckle at local news briefings detailing the cars that are broken into each week. Two constants are that they often leave their cars unlocked, and they leave valuables in plain sight. I recall a friend who ended up on the weekly blotter; she went into a store, parked on a main street, left her purse in front street, and car was unlocked. This was in daylight. Other question is why do folks leave valuables (laptops) in their cars overnight? Victims will say that they thought their car was safe in their driveway, unlocked.

Thieves suck. Don't make it easier for them.

Bring your own condoms and paper towels.

- At least at Bogarts, it's just a chair and curtains.

- Re time limit, that very much depends on what you negotiate. I usually ask for "no song count", so technically no time limit.

Also depends on the girl though. Some are more straight down to business and rushing than others.

- The girls usually help with cleanup. At Bogarts, they have kitchen towels right outside the rooms, which the girl will grab, once you're done.

I think you're over-thinking it. Are you going to call the cops, especially if you've been drinking? Do the cops have a good relationship with the club to where they'll accept whatever the club says? So you call the cops and say the club won't give you your keys. Cop asks why won't they? What do you say, you have no idea? Cop says gee, they have hundreds of guys come in, but they decide not to give you your keys? So you say well, a dancer thinks you owe her for private dances. What kind of private dances? What exactly went down? So the cops come out, interview you, the dancer, the manager. You could end up being cuffed and booked because she says you took your dick out or whatever. You'll get convinced, like everyone who doesn't have their keys, to pay up. And don't forget, they can lose your keys.

Just like a hobby phone, you should have some hobby keys. Park in the street and give them fake keys / FOB. If you get them back at the end of the night great, if not you are golden.
