Posts: 430Yes, you can Google Walmart money card and apply online, just be careful to retrieve it in the mail in a few days if you are married. Then you load as much as you want using cash or debit card in any Walmart. It is better to load few hundred bucks at the time cause they charge 3 $ for any deposit so it makes sense to deposit 300 instead of 50. Then test it for a small purchase and you are good to go. I had never received a paper statement so probably their default is paperless but if there is an option just make sue you select "paperless". I had used it on hotels.com, Expedia, restaurants, Victoria secret, parking downtown etc. Just like a regular card.

Posts: 245I think they will, but make sure you know the full list of deposits, taxes, fees, etc for the hotel you want to do, otherwise the balance may not be enough and it will just be declined. Most hotels want to hold a deposit for 'incidentals' (ie mini bar, etc) or to make sure you don't destroy or smoke in the room. It's either fixed ($50 is pretty common), but sometimes can be the equivalent of a night's rate. And of course there are the usual taxes, 'resort fees', etc that get rolled into most hotel stays. So a room with a $90 nightly rate could actually need 150-200 on a card to check in, although the deposit portion of that should get credited back eventually so you'll be able to use the card again.

I've been using Walmart money card for hotels, parking, presents and dinners. I load it with couple hundreds at Walmart and works as any other debit card without the pin. I book hotels, use it for security deposits, etc. I even used it once for a short detour to Philippines including flight and a hotel. It is paperless and had served me well for years. I log in to check my balance once in a while. I have also used hotel points that I had accumulated through work and never had an issue, but have a prepared lie if they send me a free night that is from the nights I had accumulated through work. I don't send money upfront except for one girl I used Moneygram in Walmart and one time PayPal that I load with my Walmart card.

Posts: 245From my experience, you have to have a card of some kind in your control to get hotels. Unless you want to limit yourself to the rattiest independent local places, I've never checked in anywhere that didn't want to swipe a physical credit card and see an I d. On the re-assuring side, I've primarily used sites like Dayuse and HotelsbyDay and have never gotten a single piece of paper mailed to me or a single phone call. But I have several credit cards in my name with paperless statements and no other eyes on them, so the hotel transactions are buried in history within a few weeks of making them. I would actually avoid chains where you get points or have memberships, as their systems may sniff you out with the good intention of adding rewards points, but then creating a very awkward entry in your points history with them.

I know some people claim they minimize their paper trail by using aliases when checking in, insisting on doing both deposits and payments in cash, trying to use anonymous gift cards, etc. In my opinion this just attracts unwanted attention from the staff. These requests may be normal if you're Brad Pitt checking in to a penthouse at the Plaza for a month, but at a Sheraton in the suburbs on a weekday afternoon you're probably in for a very awkward extended check in process while the front desk makes calls and checks with the manager. Swipe a regular credit card, flash your I d, and you'll be on your way with a room key in 60 seconds.
It might be possible to put the room in a girl's name pre-pay in a way that's more anonymous, but you better make sure you stay in physical control of the room. There are some horror stories buried somewhere in this or a similar thread about girls trashing rooms or extending their stays when guys had booked their rooms and the hotels just pushing the charges through the card used for the booking without ever giving any warning. I've had a few girls able to host at their places, but those experiences ranged from mildly awkward at best to really disgusting at worst, so I like being in control and having a nice room for sessions.
But long story short, if you want a comfortable, safe place to play that you're in control of its pretty difficult to do without a credit card you can run the hotel deposit / charges on.

Posts: 150Some girl reported me and almost had me banned—I had to read bunch of TOS and agree to not violating their terms, which I didn't in the first place but was wrongly accused. Feels like you could get screwed in many ways if you're unlucky.

Posts: 3303Don't disagree with anything that's been posted. I happen to have a monger PayPal account. I got it a long time ago, and it is grandfathered in. It doesn't have my SS# or any other I'd verification. I can send $ to and from it, and I can also use it to send $ to girls. I have done this on some sites like PantyDeal, where girls sell pix. Like $10. One virtue of this, girls who have PayPal have to give their real names, so you can find that out that way.

Over time, it has become a lot tougher to use that PayPal. For someone I had been seeing, I tried to send her $ to get us a hotel room by buying a prepaid, putting it in the account, and then sending the funds to her. I was able to eventually get that to work, but that was way before the pandemic.
I have seen some guy post (usually, on the Richmond sugar thread, the de facto national thread for how-tos on sugaring) that there is a way to do CashApp without revealing your identity to the recipient, but there is still a record of it, and if you are worried about hiding the transaction from the SO, it doesn't seem a good solution.

Posts: 143If you can buy hotel points and pay with points, nothing shows up on your cc. If you book a room with a card and settle up in cash, it shouldn't show up on your statement. If you buy VISA gift cards you can use those most places cards are needed. And privacy.com let's you create fake credit cards for online purchases where the billing shows up as a hardware store or something like that. They don't work everywhere.

Obviously cash is good. If you can't easy get cash directly out of your checking account with drawing attention, then put cash somewhere else and take it out of that. E. g, put it into your retirement account and remove it from that. Buy something that's cash-equivalent and sell it or return it for cash--obviously that's a hassle. Obviously doubling up your usually ATM withdrawals and keeping half for your secret activity is easy.

Posts: 152Got banned / deleted off SA
Just one day (yesterday), my account is deleted. Tried to make a new account and my email won't work.
What the hell?
Thankfully, it was also at the end of my subscription and I wasn't renewed nor charged for a new month. But just randomly deactivated and then blocked?
The site sucks.

What about the hotels. Do you ask them to get them? Or try to find SB's that have their own place.

Posts: 154You're not blocked, the profile is de-activated now. I had a SB I had been seeing for a few months off and on and she hit me up for a few bucks to cover her rent and then ghosted me. She would have done way better not going for the short hustle, but oh well. Re-connected her with her months later and was cool with letting bygones be bygones. Thought we had a nice lunch and BAM! Ghosted me again. WTF. Why bother??

Posts: 116I'll always do 100% cash only. No electronic payments ever. If they ask I just say my accountant has full access to my bank statements to do my taxes, which is true, and I don't need him asking me what all these transfers are. That way when / if they ever want money up front, or before showing up, it's "I can't. I have some cash here though. " Saves a lot of bullshit.
