I saw the same news cast. Pissed me off. I've been to alot of massage parlors over the years. Never once saw what I thought was human trafficing.

I saw women that might not have a green card. Hard to get a job without. No real job skill, basic education, not speak English. So how are they to make it in life? As you know they are nor all young hotties but provide a service. No victims.

Its all about money. Un-reported money. Its almost all cash. They bust a place and then tell the MT they will deport her unless she rolls over on her boss. Most are not citizens and could be deported for prostitution. I am sure the police tell them that. Hey, they just spent their life saving to get here.

And then they show a kitchen in the place. Duh, alot of places have a break room. These women work 12 hours or more sometimes. Nothing like home cooking. Oh ya, they might live there. Well motels cost money, they might not have car or drive, work for cash and have no credit score to rent apartment.

I known MT that are locals. Have apartments. Come on, this nothing new. Oldest profession. Weed and gambling are legal. Legalize HJs.

Yup same here. I was watching wwe with my kids and even before the show ended, they were broadcasting the ads like it was the Epstein case. Fuck out of here with that BS. My kid even said he was scared for the ladies because they were slaves like the movie "Taken" I tried to explain to him that's not how human trafficking works and usually the real victims get ignored by the authorities because they are not "worthy "or" "attractive " victims compared to Asian ladies that don't speak English and can't clear the air on why they work as SW. Don't want to get political but since seemingly the higher crime rates are up during election season, this is good strategic PR by LE depts. Meanwhile it ignores systematic issues that go beyond the debate of legalized sex work and immigration. Based on the video timestamp of one of the raids, it occurred on July 27,2022. I am assuming that all three raids occurred on the same day. Raids were based on tips from the public and from confidential informants. In each instance, an undercover went in and then gave the signal. Raids were conducted by local police in conjunction with homeland security looking for human trafficking. No human trafficking was found in any of these instances. One masseuse was arrested at each location and charged with misdemeanor prostitution. (They were arrested because they were not victims of human trafficking. Could this give women an incentive to claim that they are victims of human trafficking?) The raids appear to have taken place during the daytime, not at night. No mention of any customers present at any of the locations. These raids took place during the same month as the Red Lantern raid. I wonder why fox 32 waited until November to air the story.

After saving cash, I am going on my seasonal mini binge before the snow kills all the fun activities in the city. Unfortunately, I have no intention of trying anything new (even tho BHC and orange spa sound tempting after seeing the RL raid on the news, I aint taking no chances with Asian Apts.)
